The second part of that solution is  is direct service to family members or caregivers themselves. These services incldiscussing family servicesude the following:

  • Individual and family counseling and mediation

  • Conducting family meetings

  • Crisis management

  • Access to benefits and services

  • Preparation and support in the move to a care facility

  • Education about aging, illness, care giving and stress management

  • Assistance with all aspects of daily life, including home help, finances and appointments

  • Help in steering through "the system"

For Long Distance Caregivers

Family members who live out of town, or are away on holidays have unique challenges—who can be there for you, and do what you would do?

Diamond Geriatrics will help you figure that out and set up a system that will allow you to feel more comfortable about being far away. We can do that for your loved one whether they are in the community, or in seniors housing or a nursing home. For more information on this, please see our “Geriatric Care Management.”
